EADS Delivers 100th UH-72A

During a ceremony yesterday at American Eurocopter’s plant in Columbus, Miss., EADS North America handed over the 100th UH-72A Lakota to the U.S. Army. The light utility helicopter (LUH) will join the Army’s Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) in Germany, serving with the unit’s Combat Training Center. The Army has ordered 182 UH-72As to date, and expects to purchase a total of 345 Lakotas through 2016.
