City and economic development representatives joined AgustaWestland at Newquay Cornwall Airport (NQY) in England on March 31 to open the manufacturer’s new Operational Flying Training Center (OFTC). A variety of services will be available through the center, including basic training, advanced helicopter flying and crew courses for medical, SAR, winch operations and other applications. Set to employ around 30 skilled workers and 12 aircraft technicians, the OFTC will operate the AW109 Power and AW139 to train students.
