The U.S. Army has granted a three-year contract worth up to $36.8 million to Lockheed Martin for support of its target acquisition designation sight/pilot night vision sensor (TADS/PNVS) and modernized (M-TADS/PNVS) systems on the AH-64 Apache. The deal calls for Lockheed’s support center in Gilbert, Ariz. to modify and refurbish legacy TADS/PNVS components and incorporate them into the modernized versions. Field service is included in the contract, including an Orlando-based team of Lockheed Martin product support technicians that will travel to worldwide locations to install and test the M-TADS/PNVS units.
