S-70i Nears First Flight

Sikorsky’s first S-70i Black Hawk has joined the aerial test program at the company’s Development Flight Center (DFC) in Florida. The international Black Hawk variant was assembled at PZL Mielec in Poland, and transferred to DFC in May. Assembly of the second S-70i is ongoing at PZL Mielec. Sikorsky, which plans to fly the S-70i for the first time at DFC in July, intends to produce at least 20 airframes per year starting in 2012.
