Kaman Aerospace’s Helicopter division has inked a $2.9-million agreement with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) to incorporate mission equipment into the unmanned K-MAX. The helicopter is currently undergoing a series of flight tests, with recent efforts focused on cargo airdrops at the Army’s Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center in Massachusetts.
