The Los Angeles County Fire Department reined in the Crown Fire over the weekend, in an effort that involved more than a dozen aircraft, around 1,400 firefighters and 250 ground vehicles, according to accounts. Firefighters have mostly contained three blazes that erupted in southern California on July 29—the Crown, Bull and West fires.
