Researchers from the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor-based Omni Sciences have come up with a laser-based technology that can defend helicopters against heat-seeking missiles. The project falls under an Omni Sciences grant from the U.S. Army and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
