Sikorsky to Cut 200 Jobs

Noting the global economy and weakening demand in the commercial helicopter market, Stratford, Conn.-based Sikorsky plans to eliminate around 200 jobs, or one percent of its 20,000-employee workforce. The layoffs come at a time when the UTC subsidiary’s military helicopter business is increasing.
