Los Angeles County Sheriff Selects Cobham

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) has selected Cobham Avionics to supply Synthetic Vision electronic flight instrument systems (EFIS) for a fleet of 14 Eurocopter AS350B2 helicopters. The aircraft, completed by Hangar One of Carlsbad, Calif., will come equipped with Cobham’s two-screen, 3D synthetic vision EFIS system, including: primary flight display (PFD) and multifunction display (MFD), software version 7.0, WAAS Beta III GPS receiver, integral TSO C-194 helicopter terrain awareness and warning system (HTAWS), integral flight management system (FMS) and analog interface unit (AIU).
