Saab has inked a deal with the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) to provide support and maintenance for Helicopter 15, a fleet of 20 AgustaWestland AW109 light utility helicopter systems (LUHS). The Swedish Armed Forces operates Helicopter 15 out of two bases in Linkoping and Ronneby. The six-year contract, which includes maintenance, material and technical support, begins in 2012 and is an extension of Saab’s current agreement with the FMV. It carries an option for another four years.
