Grupo Inaer holding company World Helicopters has purchased UK-based Bond Aviation Group for €300 million. Bond provides helicopter support for offshore oil and gas, EMS and law enforcement operations. Following the merger, the combined companies will have a fleet of around 360 aircraft—Inaer alone currently operates a fleet of 273 helicopters and 47 fixed-wing aircraft. Under the agreement, Peter Bond will continue to serve as chairman of Bond with the existing management teams of Bond Offshore Helicopters and Bond Air Services remaining in place.
