AgustaWestland has sold three AW169s to Capitale Helicoptere, which becomes the first Canadian operator to order the type. The Quebec-based company will employ the helicopters in charter, VIP transport, air medical and utility missions. First flight of the AW169 is expected in 2012, with mission equipment certification projected in 2015, and delivery shortly thereafter. Capitale Helicoptere began construction on a 58,000-square-foot facility at Quebec City Airport earlier this month.
