Boeing’s Military Aircraft division has selected Elbit Systems of America to provide the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command with helmet-mounted displays for a fleet of Bell Boeing CV-22s. This adds the AFSOC to list of U.S. Armed forces that already use Elbit’s color HMDs. According to Elbit, the helmets help improve situational awareness by combining helmet display and tracking systems with color indicators for day and night vision goggle (NVG) missions.
