With helicopters touching down and Duxford’s aerodrome abuzz with the sound of cranes and torn plastic coverings, exhibitors are gearing up for the start of Helitech 2011 on Tuesday. The show, which runs from September 27 to 29, is celebrating 25 years with a new feature—a dedicated conference program from organizers Reed Exhibitions. Among the conference highlights are Europe-centered topics including offshore wind farms and “blue light” police operations, in addition to more general subjects such as a Global Helicopter Flight Data Monitoring (HFDM) steering group.
