Third S-76D Prototype Joins Flight Test

Test flights have begun on the third S-76D prototype, the “D3.”  Sikorsky

Sikorsky Aircraft has incorporated the third S-76D prototype into its flight test program. Certification testing with “D3” is set to start later this year, while Sikorsky continues to collect flight test data using D1 and D2. Sikorsky Global Helicopters assembled all three of the prototypes at its facility in Coatesville, Pa.
