The Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC) and Eurocopter have launched an ab-initio training class for helicopter technicians. This first class of 15 students follows a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that Eurocopter and CAFUC signed in 2010, with a goal of graduating 120 technicians every year by 2015. The four-month course provides 350 hours of classroom training and 300 of hands-on training. Students will be awarded a basic helicopter maintenance technician license after completing 650 hours of course work and passing a Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC)-approved test
