Eurocopter has handed over the first NH90 TTH to the General Directorate for Armament (DGA). The French Army Air Corps (ALAT) will fly the helicopter for tactical transport missions.  France has ordered 34 of the NH90s as a replacement for the AS332 Super Pumas, with an option for another 34. The NATO Helicopter Management Agency (NAHEMA) qualified the NH90 in November 2011.
