According to a report from JETNET (Booth 9763), sales for the pre-owned turbine and piston helicopter market segments experienced a decline in 2011 when compared against 2010. Turbine sales were down 11.9 percent, while the piston market experienced a sharper decrease, at 17.7 percent. While the average asking price for turbine helicopters is trending downward, the average asking price for pistons rose 9.3 percent over 2010. JETNET issued the report in early February as part of a wider examination of the pre-owned business jet, turboprop and helicopter segments.
