Bristow Captain Named Safety Chairman

UK-based Step Change in Safety has appointed Bristow Helicopters Capt. Tim Glasspool as co-chairman of its Helicopter Safety Steering Group (HSSG). Formed in 2010, Step Change in Safety aims to improve the safety of oil and gas exploration and production in the UK. Glasspool is the head of flight operations for the European business unit at Bristow and is also a member of the Council of Management of the British Helicopter Association (BHA). He also represents the European Helicopter Association (EHA) as a member of the Safety Standards Consultative Committee (SSCC) for EASA. The HSSG includes oil and gas contractors, operators, regulators, workplace safety representatives and trade unions.
