Bell-Boeing has handed over the first Block C MV-22 Osprey to the U.S. Marine Corps. The Block C upgrade features a new color weather radar system, improved air distribution systems within the tiltrotor, and expanded electronic warfare system that improves the aircraft’s capability to defeat air-to-air and ground-to-air threats. In a separate agreement, Bell Helicopter has inked a contract with the Royal Thai Army to refurbish and modify eight Bell 212s. Bell Helicopter Asia will work with Royal Airport Services to complete the work in Thailand.
