The German Army’s Forward Air Medical Evacuation unit has contracted Cassidian to provide medevac support in Afghanistan. The agreement is an extension of the Eurocopter Tiger Afghanistan Stabilization German Army Rapid Deployment (ASGARD) contract signed in May. The Army, which flies NH90s, has ordered eight Cassidian mobile operational support systems (EUA). The EUAs are compatible with the different helicopter variants that the German Army and Air Force fly, including the Tiger and the Sikorsky CH-53GA.
