Aero Dynamix to Modify LA Fire AW139s

Los Angeles Fire Department’s Air Operations unit has chosen Aero Dynamix to install night vision imaging system (NVIS) upgrades on five AgustaWestland AW139s. Euless, Texas-based Aero Dynamix will incorporate the night vision goggle (NVG) modifications—including edge lit panels, instrument overlays, anti-collision lights and switches/warning indicators—into the helicopters over a period of two years. The AW139s will conduct for SAR and other firefighting missions. Aero Dynamix also carried out NVG modifications on two LAFD Bell 412s and a Jet Ranger.
