Northrop Grumman Wins Navy H-1 Upgrades

The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has contracted Northrop Grumman to supply mission computers for Bell UH-1Y Venoms and AH-1Z Vipers. The $8.9-million contract is part of the H-1 Upgrade for the U.S. Marine Corps Light Attack Helicopter program. The Gen II computers will power the integrated avionics system (IAS) interface with tactical moving maps and display information related to situational awareness and health monitoring.
