The Federal Aviation Administration has published a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Enstrom Helicopter Corp., requiring operators to incorporate an additional trim relay to prevent cyclic trim system failure. The AD impacts several variants, including the F-28C, F-28C-2, F-28F, TH-28, 280C, 280F, 280FX, 480 and 480B. Operators are required to modify the lateral and longitudinal trim actuator within five hours time-in-service (TIS) or the next annual/100 hour TIS inspection.
