Russian Air Force Marks 100th Year in Operation

Oboronprom subsidiary Russian Helicopters hosted a three-day event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the country’s Air Force. The Aug. 10-12 event, which featured Golden Eagle flying demonstrations of the Ka-52 Alligator and Mi-28N Night Hunter, as well as the Mil Mi-26, Mi-8, Ansat-U, Mi-35 and Mi-2, drew upwards of 200,000 people, according to the manufacturer. Air Force and armed forces voluntary association (DOSAAF) helicopters carried out flight demonstrations with pilots from Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Turkey and the UK.
