Mi-38 Sets World Altitude Record

Aircraft manufacturer Russian Helicopters has set a new world altitude record with its Mi-38 during the 14th Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) World Helicopter Championships. The helicopter flew higher than 8,600 meters to earn a new milestone for the E1h class, an FAI category for airframes weighing 10,000 to 20,000 kg. Russian Helicopters was a sponsor and general partner for the airshow.
