The Federal Emergency Management Agency has deployed Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk and SH-60 Seahawk helicopters from Ft. Campbell, Ky. and Norfolk Naval Air Station, Va., respectively, to assist in search and rescue efforts in areas ravaged by Hurricane Isaac on Aug. 29. The aircraft will primarily operate in and around Plaquemines parish, a low-lying area in southern Louisiana where the Category 1 hurricane made landfall.
