The U.S. Navy has exercised an $11.9-million option with Indianapolis-based Rolls-Royce for maintenance services on the AE1107C engines that power the Bell-Boeing V-22. Rolls-Royce will perform low-power engine repairs as well as turboshaft engine and site support under the contract extension. The engine work is split between Indianapolis and Oakland, Calif., with a completion date of February 2013.
