Evergreen to Provide Air Support in Afghanistan

The U.S. Transportation Command has awarded a $24.6-million contract to McMinnville, Ore.-based Evergreen Helicopters for aircraft and personnel in Afghanistan. The agreement, which started November 1 and continues to Oct. 31, 2013, is part of a multiple-award contract involving a total of six helicopter operators—the others are AAR, Canadian Helicopters, Columbia Helicopters, Construction Helicopters, and Vertical de Aviacion. The deal covers helicopters, pilots, mechanics, support personnel, tools, maintenance and supervision related to air transport in Afghanistan.
