Flightcell International is introducing DZMx—which it calls the world’s smallest satellite communication and tracking system—at Heli-Expo 2013 in Las Vegas this week.

The new Flightcell DZMx weighs just 1.4 lbs., enabling it to take up less space in the cockpit than other satcom systems, according to the company. New Zealand helicopter provider Garden City Helicopters will be the first operator to install the system when it goes into production later this year. The company is giving Heli-Expo goers the chance to win a DZMx unit as well.
