Russian Helicopters is taking its latest models to the LAAD Defense and Security 2013 exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, hoping to add more South American operators to its profile. The event starts Tuesday and runs through April 12.

The company currently lists Atlas Taxi Aero and Helipark Taxi Aero as Brazilian operators of its Mi-171A1s and Ka-32A11BC variants. On April 10, the manufacturer will host a conference on how Russian-built helicopters can help support operations for energy companies and the oil and gas sector in Brazil and other South American markets.
Additionally the Russian Helicopters will give a presentation of the heavy lift Mi-26T/T2, which currently holds the world record carrying capacity (20 tons of cargo) for helicopters in serial production.
