Bell Helicopter has received an order from Deleware State Police for two multi-mission configured Bell 429s that will join its aviation unit fleet. The two aircraft will carry out both airborne law enforcement and emergency medical services (EMS) operations. The state police unit selected the 429s based on the "combination of speed, power, performance and working volume," according to Delaware State Police Superintendent Nathaniel McQueen Jr.

The new 429s will join the aviation unit's fleet of Bell 407s, a 412 and a fixed-wing Cessna 182.
