L-3 Link to Build Two UH-60M Trainers for Taiwan

Arlington, Texas-based L-3 Link Simulation & Training as obtained a U.S. Army Program Executive Office (PEO) for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation contract covering two Sikorsky UH-60M operational flight trainers (OFTs) for the Taiwan Army. The trainers will resemble similar units in use with the U.S. Army’s Flight School XXI program.

Plans call for the first OFT to arrive at the Taiwan Army’s Shinshou facility in fourth quarter 2014, with the second trainer online in first quarter 2015. L-3 Link will also supply logistics support under a one-year contract with an option to renew.
