Eurocopter China has donated an AS350 Ecureuil to the Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CADUC). The helicopter will be based at the university campus in Guanghan within the Sichuan Province. It will become a part of the Eurocopter-supported courses that train helicopter technicians for both ab-initio (from the beginning) and type ratings. Other areas include training on structural maintenance and repairs, the main gearbox, rotor blades and other dynamic components. Eurocopter and CADUC established a partnership in 2011 with a goal of training 120 Chinese students each year by 2015. According to Eurocopter, there are more than 35 AS350s operating in China today.
