China’s State Grid General Aviation (SGGA) has been assisting with relief efforts in the earthquake-stricken city of Ya’an in the Sichuan Province. A 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit the city on April 20, resulting in 192 deaths and thousands of injuries in addition to widespread property damage. The SGGA Bell 407 is conducting inspections to ensure that power lines remain operational during relief efforts, which are managed by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC)’s Southwest Bureau.
