Eurocopter EC135 Selected for Turkish EMS Operations

The Turkish Ministry of Health's air ambulance service will feature a fleet of Eurocopter EC135s, after THK Gokcen Aviation selected the twin-engine rotorcraft to begin operations in August.

THK Gokcen Aviation, the commercial arm of the Turkish Aeronautical Association, will initially receive five EC135s, followed by a build-up to a fleet of 17 EC135s.

Eurocopter estimates about 25 percent of EMS helicopter operations worldwide feature the EC135.
