In recent weeks, Columbia Helicopters has sent a number of helicopters to support firefighting efforts in the western U.S. Two Boeing Vertol 107-IIs (now produced by Columbia) with SEI’s Torrentula Bambi Bucket, including the Powerfill system, are assisting with efforts at the Black Forest Fire in Colorado Springs, Colo. Columbia also deployed a 107-II to Utah and a Model 234 Chinook to New Mexico earlier this month.
