The details are out for this year’s Helitech International Conference, scheduled for Sept. 24-26 at ExCel in London. The event, organized by Reed Exhibitions, will open and close with sessions dedicated to the future of the rotorcraft industry. A series of presentations on SESAR initiatives, the Single European Sky, GPS, EGNOS and operator experiences will follow an opening keynote on Sept. 24. The closing session will examine “Financing the Future,” featuring a group of experts from the helicopter financing industry.

Between those bookends is a conference schedule that includes a Sept. 25 discussion on HEMS operations at night featuring East Anglian Air Ambulance, the first medical operator to achieve approval to fly during night hours. Also on Wednesday is a session on rulemaking where EASA will offer a paper on “the medium-term agenda,” an overview of new flight crew licensing rules for helicopter operators.

In addition to the closing financing the future panel, Sept. 26 will center on “business challenges and opportunities,” with representatives from manufacturing, supply and operational sectors of the helicopter industry.
