ASU Wraps Up FAA Night Vision Training

Boise, Idaho-based Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) has completed a night vision goggle (NVG) training contract for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The arrangement spanned six years dating back to 2007, accumulating more than 1,000 hours of flight training and 950-plus hours of classroom/academic training. ASU supplied initial training to a total of 87 FAA aviation safety inspectors (ASIs) and recurrent training to 70 ASIs. FAA awarded a follow-on contract for NVG training to Palm Beach Helicopters of Lantana, Fla.
