IHST Safety Symposium to Feature Robinson CEO, NTSB Member Sumwalt

Details are coming together for the 2014 version of the International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST) Worldwide Helicopter Safety Symposium, scheduled to take place Feb. 27-28 after Heli-Expo 2014 in Anaheim, Calif. Robinson CEO Kurt Robinson and NTSB Member Robert Sumwalt are the keynote speakers for the event, which will center around the themes of pilot self-discipline and personal responsibility.

The symposium is open to all aviation safety professionals, with an agenda that features a dinner event on Feb. 27 and a series of panel reports and discussions Feb. 28. IHST is working with the U.S. FAA and Helicopter Association International (HAI), which hosts Heli-Expo, to produce the safety symposium. Also participating in the event are representatives of AgustaWestland, AHS International, Bell, Boeing, Bristow, CHC, Eurocopter, EASA, Flight Safety Foundation, Shell Aircraft and Sikorsky.
