UTair to Serve as AgustaWestland Service Center

AgustaWestland has designated UTair Aviation to be an authorized service center in Russia. The agreement involves UTair providing maintenance, support and spare parts for AW139 operators in the country. UTair currently flies 10 AW139s in corporate and VIP transport missions from bases in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Siberia.

The companies are projecting that the program will grow to 60 pilots and 40 technicians to fly and maintain the AW139 fleet. AgustaWestland and UTair formalized the service center agreement during an August 28 ceremony the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS).
