Offshore helicopter transportation provider Bristow Group has obtained a series of offshore oil and gas support contracts worth up to $850 million. In Europe, Bristow received new contracts to provide seven helicopters for six different unnamed clients. The contracts range from two to seven years, involving new and existing large helicopters.

Bristow has also received multiple contract awards for large and medium helicopters supporting operators in the Gulf of Mexico, Africa and Australia. William Chiles, president and CEO of the Bristow Group, said the contract for East Africa is significant because it "provides Bristow a substantial presence in an emerging market covering some of the newest and most prolific offshore oil and gas discoveries."
