LPV procedures enable approach guidance in a three-dimensional display for pilots, greatly enhancing situational awareness during poor visibility conditions.
The company obtained a license for the approaches from EASA, allowing developers to use the new procedure when testing and approving navigation systems on production helicopters. Pilots are currently conducting LPV approach tests using twin-engine EC135 and EC145 T2 helicopters.
