AAR, Columbia and Construction Secure Afghanistan Extensions

U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM)’s Directorate of Acquisition has granted three contract modifications – to AAR Airlift Group, Columbia Helicopters and Construction Helicopters – related to support in Afghanistan. Palm Bay, Fla.-based AAR Airlift Group is receiving more than $150 million for year four of aircraft, personnel, equipment, materials, maintenance and tooling support involved with transporting people and cargo in Afghanistan.

TRANSCOM’s agreement with Columbia Helicopters relates similar services under year three of a contract valued at $87.7 million. Howell, Mich.-based Construction Helicopters is getting $33.6 million for year three of its agreement with the U.S. military. All three contracts run through Oct. 31, 2014.
