Bell to Provide AH-1Z Flight Training Device

The U.S. Navy has awarded a $13.9-million contract to Hurst, Texas-based Bell Helicopter for an AH-1Z flight training device (FTD). The simulator is intended to train U.S. Marine Corps pilots. More than half of the work will take place in Broken Arrow, Okla., with just over a quarter in Fort Worth, Texas, and the remaining 18 percent in St. Louis, Mo. Service entry is projected for February 2014.
