Erickson to Cool Turkey with Firefighting Pact

Istanbul’s Metropolitan Municipality in Turkey has issued a contract to Erickson Air-Crane covering firefighting services over a period of 10 months. Erickson will employ one S-64 Aircrane equipped with a 2,650-gallon fire suppression system under an agreement that covers a minimum of 500 flight hours. Turkey’s Pan Aviation will team with Portland, Ore.-based Erickson to supply a range of aerial firefighting services, according to Erickson CEO Udo Rieder.
