AgustaWestland to Deliver Second AW139 to Armed Forces of Malta

AgustaWestland will provide the Armed Forces of Malta with a second AW139, with delivery expected in June 2015. The helicopter is equipped with a high-definition FLIR system, search/weather radar, cabin mission console, naval transponder, searchlight, satellite communication system, a four-axis autopilot with SAR modes, external rescue hoist and a four bag floatation system, and will be used to conduct maritime border control missions. The rotorcraft will also be used for SAR duties.
