Bell Helicopter’s Training Academy (BTA) has trained 130,000 students, with its milestone student being Fredrick “Chon” Taylor of the FBI, who has spent more than 3,500 hours in Bell helicopters. Taylor attended BTA for autorotation practice. The BTA also offers pilot and technician training for both in-production and select out-of-production models. As an extension of the aircraft OEM, the BTA has access to current flight and technical information and manuals from the manufacturer to provide customers with up-to-date information. The BTA is also an FAA Part 141 approved flight school, and offers a helicopter training options for pilots who hold a current FAA Helicopter Certificate with appropriate ratings.
