Russian Helicopters Expands Reach in China

Following the delivery of two Ka-32A11BCs to Sino-Russian Helicopter Technology Company, based in Qingdao, China, Russian Helicopters has signed an additional contract with China’s Lectern Aviation Supplies for a Mi-26TS heavy transport helicopter.

The Mi-26TS is expected to be delivered in 2015, and will be used for forestry management in China’s Shandong province. The helicopter will be used for cargo and personnel transport, emergency evacuation and firefighting missions.




Sino-Russian Helicopter Technology Company signed a contract for 20 Ka-32A11BCs in 2011, and the first two are currently in service in China, with four more expected for delivery by the end of the year. The helicopters will be used for search and rescue missions, fire fighting and high-rise construction operations.
