FEC Heliports Rapid Deployment Battery-Operated Helipad Lights

FEC Heliports have improved the specification of their rapid deployment battery-operated helipad lights. The high intensity LED lights are now available with wireless control enabling the operation of color, intensity and flash pattern through a remote key fob. If used in conjunction with FEC’s Remote Lighting Controller, pilot operation is achieved through the aircrafts on board radio. Tested by Sikorsky and now used extensively by the Scottish Air Ambulance, FEC supply the battery lights as a set of eight in a reinforced GRP “Nanuk” case which has an inbuilt charger to simultaneously charge all eight lights from a 12v supply in a vehicle or by a standard mains connection. FEC state that clients enjoy the versatility of the lights with some clients setting them up as a NATO T, whilst others arranging them to establish an aiming circle.
